Market Table Dinner Social

Marinated Market Vegetables

Tonight I made the dinner party menu given on Eric Ripert's blog...Avec Eric. It was an excellent meal.
I cut down the recipes to serve four instead of 8. I elected not to make the soup this time. It was light and easy and perfect for a Saturday night for eating and laughing and having a few lovely glasses of wine.
It was a great night....
Caramelized Onion and Olive Croustade
I decided to make individual croustades inside of larger ones. I cut my puff pastry with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter...

Endive Spears with Blue Cheese and Duck Prosciutto
I used Prosciutto de Parma for these...no duck prosciutto to be found today!
These were really light and delicious...

Roasted Leg of Lamb with Fingerling Potatoes and Marinated Market Vegetables

I had all of the vegetables on hand that were called for in the recipe. The only baby veggies I had were beets. This recipe is very easily adapted to what you have on hand. The mustard vinaigrette on the vegetables was fabulous. I could not get fingerling potatoes today, so I used red potatoes cut into wedges.

Maple Roasted Pears with Bourbon Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream

This pear was hot...it was all I could do to get the picture and be able to eat it before my ice cream melted!

I can not wait to try his next menu...which will be posted on December 1st....It is a cocktail party!
